What I learned this year
[sec finish][sec start css_class="section-heading bg-light-blue pt-4 px-4 text-white"]I write to you today, just moments after hearing we will return to lockdown level 5 indefinitely. Leading to more uncertainty for the coming months. But what I have learnt this year is that things don’t always turn out the way you’ve planned or the way you think they should. And I have learnt that that is ok. Sometimes you need things to change to realise your true potential, or what magic awaits around the corner.
It has brought me so much pleasure to interact with you all in a more virtual way. To spend my evenings teaching you how to care for your skin, how skin care is self care and self care is self love. 2020 encouraged me to look beyond the treatment room, we created SkinDeep by Corinna Tolan, ensuring continued engagement throughout the year. We brought Cryoglobes to the Irish market. An extremely useful tool that aids healing, as well as lifting and tightening the skin. Another element of the professional treatment room, available for you to use at home.
I want to extend my immense gratitude to our hardworking team . I learnt more than ever before that our team members are family. We came to rely more on the resilience of our staff, asking them to put their health on the line to keep our business afloat, adjusting their working environment to their homes as well as the hours they work.
It was the unmeasurable coming together as a team that ensured we swam and saved us from sinking throughout 2020.
And thank you to you, our clients, for engaging with us and investing in us throughout the year. Your belief in all we do has been our greatest inspiration and motivation to navigate the uncertainty of 2020.
We have huge plans for 2021, and they all centre around you, so buckle up and prepare for a rollercoaster of a year.
I want to wish each and every one of you a Merry Christmas. No matter your situation, I am sure this Christmas will bring new challenges, never experienced before. I hope you allow yourself the time to look for the magic in each day and are hopeful for new experiences that await you in 2021.
2020, The year I lost, won, failed, cried, laughed, loved but above all, I learned.
Le Gra, Corinna
